  • Nature-based but no less energetic pursuits are easily accessible from any of the villages in the 35km of cross-country skiing trails as well as the 25km of walking and snow-shoeing trails which run across the whole of the Ecrins National Park.
  • Les Grands Bainsin Monetier-les-Bains is the Alps's only geothermally heated spa centre with roman baths, jacuzzis, bubble beds, fountains, infinity pools as well as a 300 sqm outdoor pool and its own flowing river.

  • For cultural and historical pursuits, the medieval walled city of Briançon, a UNESCO World Heritage site, hosts a wealth of permanent and temporary exhibitions from the early medieval period to modern times and features outstanding military and religious architecture as well as regular open air markets.
