  • For a closer encounter with nature try Cani-Raquettes a traditional walk in snow-shoes with a little help from a husky and astonish the children by letting them meet the lamas from the Golden Valley.
  • Located between "La Vanoise" and "Les Ecrins" national parks the Val d'Or teems with wildlife which you can appreciate from the comfort of the chair lifts.  Down on the ground chamois, deers and wolves make for unusual encounters on one of the many nature walks organised by experienced mountain guides.
  • Every January Valloire's town centre is transformed by fantastic creations from around the globe as it plays host to an International Snow and Ice Sculpture Contest. The sculpture theme carries on throughout the resort with permanent exhibitions in the Snow Grotto and ice sculptures dotted around the vallée.
